Celtics Take 2-0 Lead in Eastern Conference Finals
Dominant Performance Secures Game 2 Victory
Jayson Tatum Leads the Charge with 30 Points
The Boston Celtics solidified their grip on the Eastern Conference finals with an emphatic 126-110 victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 2 on Thursday night. Led by Jayson Tatum's 30-point performance, the Celtics stifled the Pacers from the get-go, leading by as many as 20 points in the fourth quarter.
Tatum, who was named an All-NBA First Team selection earlier this week, took control of the game in the second half, draining key jump shots and assisting his teammates with ease. Jaylen Brown added 21 points, while Marcus Smart and Grant Williams each contributed 19 points to the Celtics' balanced scoring.
The Pacers, led by Malcolm Brogdon's 25 points and Domantas Sabonis' 22 points, struggled to find their rhythm against the Celtics' smothering defense. Indiana shot just 41.7% from the field and was outrebounded 44-33 by their Boston counterparts.
The Celtics' victory gives them a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 3 will take place on Saturday in Boston, where the Celtics will look to close out the Pacers and advance to the Eastern Conference finals.
