Beetlejuice 2 Release Date Set
After a long wait, Tim Burton's beloved classic Beetlejuice is finally getting a sequel. The original film, released in 1988, starred Michael Keaton as the titular mischievous ghost and Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz, a young girl who befriends him. The sequel, titled Beetlejuice 2, will see the return of Keaton as Beetlejuice, as well as Winona Ryder as Lydia.
The film will also feature a new cast of characters, including Jenna Ortega as Lydia's daughter. The story will follow the Deetz family as they return to their old home in Winter River, where they are once again haunted by Beetlejuice. The film is set to be released in theaters on September 6, 2024.
Michael Keaton's Biggest Request for the Sequel
In a recent interview, Michael Keaton revealed that he had one big request for the sequel: that Beetlejuice be more mischievous than ever before. "I wanted to make sure that Beetlejuice was still the same character that people loved from the first film, but I also wanted to bring something new to the role," Keaton said. "I think fans will be really happy with the way the character has evolved."
